Horsham District Council has published its Local Plan 2023 – 2040 and this has implications for Henfield. The Plans Advisory Committee (PAC) of Henfield Parish Council has scheduled an open meeting for 7:00pm on 1st February in the Henfield Hall and invites residents of the Parish to come and express their views and opinions on any aspect of the Local Plan, and especially the two sites identified for potential development (the former Sandgate Nursery in West End Lane and land to the south of New Hall Lane in Small Dole). Neither of these form part of our agreed Neighbourhood Plan, which was voted on and agreed by local residents in 2019. The PAC is a statutory consultee and will be making representations to Horsham District Council by the deadline of 1st March. In formulating the Parish Council’s own view, we would like to hear the thoughts of local residents. It would be helpful to manage logistics if anyone who wishes to attend could inform the Parish Office of their intent by sending an email to office@henfield.gov.uk. Residents are able and indeed strongly encouraged to make their own views known in writing to Horsham District Council, or online at the following link - www.horsham.gov.uk/localplanreview
