Henfield Parish Council are seeking to co-opt one new councillor.

As the authority closest to the people, we are invariably the first port of call people go to with their concerns or ideas. For this reason, we are a vital part of any community

All Parish Councillors are volunteers

To be carried out successfully, it requires councillors to devote time and effort in order to perform this role.

Anyone interested in being co-opted to this position is encouraged to think about putting his/her name forward
after considering the following: -
i. how much time you can devote to Parish Council work;
ii. are you able and willing to contribute to discussion and debate during meetings;
iii. attending one or more Parish Council meetings, as a member of the public, to get an idea of what is involved; and
iv. are you comfortable engaging with local residents, if and when required, to listen to and represent their views.
Training and advice for Parish Councillors is provided by the West Sussex Association of Local Councils (WSALC).
