Henfield Parish Council's news works officer, Paul Hopgood, has been welcomed to the team. Work has now begun on cutting back the wild flower areas for the autumn.

The grant funds received from the Climate Fund covered the installation of the PV panels and the installation of an EV Charge Point.

New community drop-in sessions to support residents

Community drop-in sessionA series of new community drop-in sessions are being introduced across the Horsham District to help residents who are struggling with the current cost of living crisis and need help accessing key services to help them stay independent and healthy.

The drop-in sessions have been organised by Horsham District Council’s Community Services team in partnership with West Sussex County Council Partnerships and Communities team.

Council approves Climate Change Panel to develop Horsham District plan

At a recent Horsham District Council meeting of full Council councillors agreed to establish a Climate Change Panel to support the development of a Climate Change Action Plan tackling carbon footprint issues across Horsham District.

The Panel will consist of local and national experts who specialise in a range of subjects associated with reducing carbon emissions and preparing for environmental change across the whole District.

People are being asked to protect themselves and others by wearing a mask in Sussex healthcare settings to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

As cases increase across the country and in our communities, all NHS organisations in Sussex have agreed to reintroduce mask wearing for staff, patients and visitors. This applies to all clinical settings – including consulting rooms, hospital wards and outpatient departments.
