NatWest Mobile Bank
The NatWest Mobile Bank (South Downs) will start serving South Downs villages and towns from Monday 7th May.  The first visit to Henfield will be THURSDAY 10th MAY from 10.05 am to 11.05 am in the Coopers Way Car Park.  Thereafter visits will be every Thursday.  If you wish a timetable for the service (which shows visiting times for other villages in the area), you can collect one from the Henfield Parish Council office.

On 30th January, a planning workshop will be held with statutory consultees like Southern Water, the Environment Agency and English Heritage, together with representatives of a number of local organisations.  Key input for that workshop are the draft reports created by the various focus groups together with the draft State of the Parish Report.  These documents can be found on the Henfield Hub website.  Please follow the link.  https://www.henfieldhub.com/hnp-key-information/important-draft-documents-published

Horsham District Council has recently announced that 2019 will be its Year of Culture with a range of events and activities taking place to celebrate the culture and heritage that we have throughout the district.

Henfield has decided to participate with its own 2019 Year of Culture and to encourage local people and organisations to organise events and activities which celebrate our own culture and heritage. We hope this will be interesting and entertaining for our residents and encourage visitors to come along and join in. We have also agreed to work in partnership with our neighbours in Woodmancote and Shermanbury and we hope that the activities will take place across our three parishes. Henfield Community Partnership has agreed to take on the task of leading and organising our Year of Culture events and Liz Taylor has agreed to Chair the Organising Committee which has recently had its first meeting. They hope to develop a calendar of events throughout the year culminating in a Henfield Festival Week which will take place in June 2019 and which will include the popular Festival of Gardens & Arts and a new version of our Summer Show & Fayre with the organisation of this event transferring from the Parish Council to an organising committee led by the Community Partnership.

If you or your organisation are interested in participating by organising an event during 2019 or you would like to contribute ideas we would love to hear from you.
